Come and join us for a cold or hot drink on a Tuesday morning for casual chat. Also come along on alternate Thursdays to have a say or just listen to the discussion on a pre-set topic.
Coffee and Chat and Discussion Group
Every Tuesday at 10am there is an informal ‘Coffee & Chat’ session, members sit around and talk about anything they chose while having a cuppa. Have a one-on-one chat, with a few fellow members, you choose.
On alternate Thursdays at 10am the discussion is set on a predetermine topic chosen by members. These vary from meeting to meeting, a topic for the next fortnight is chosen by attending members at the end of the meeting on the day. Previous topics have included: Long-term benefits of technology, The ‘troubles in the Middle East’, ‘Brisbane Olympics’, ‘Tertiary education in Australia’, ‘Homelessness and the rental crisis’ as well as a variety of other topics.
The best way to find out what each group does is to attend one of its activities on a no-obligation trial basis.
All groups start, sink or swim based on interest, energy and innovation of the members attending. IMS is committed to concensus and innovation driven by the members for the members.
